The LPGA “Rookie of the Year” in 1975, Amy Alcott was elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in March, 1999. Her career highlights include: 33 professional victories worldwide, including 29 LPGA Tour wins, and five major titles.

Alcott’s numerous championships include: 1980 U.S. Open, 1983, 1988 & 1991 Nabisco-Dinah Shore, 1985 Nestle World Championship, 1986 Mazda Hall of Fame, and 1979 duMaurier. In 1980, she won the Vare Trophy for best scoring average by a player on the LPGA Tour.

Born in Kansas City (MO) and raised in Santa Monica, Amy became the sixth LPGA millionaire in 1983. As of summer-1999, her 3.4 million winnings rank #14 all-time in LPGA career earnings.

Other awards include: Golf Magazine’s “Player of the Year”,1980; Mickey Wright Award, 1985; LPGA Founders Cup, 1985; California Golf Writers Association’s Female Golfer of the Year, 1987; Great Sports Legends, 1998.
