Santa Monica’s Anita Kanter was ranked #10 Singles in World rankings and #6 USA in 1952; and #9 USA in 1953.

She won the 1949 U.S. Girls National Hard Court Singles Championship.

As a UCLA sophomore, Anita captured the 1951 U.S. Girls National Outdoor Singles championship, and the 1951 National Hard Court Doubles and Mixed Doubles championships.

In 1952, she won the U.S. National Clay Court Singles title; and a year later, the 1953 U.S. National Clay Court Doubles championship.

At the 1953 World Maccabiah Games in Israel, Anita won gold in Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles, and a silver medal in Singles.
