Basketball - 2015
One of the top point guards in UCLA women’s basketball history and a two-time Jewish Sports Review All-American, Thea Lemberger was among the leading scorers her final three years (2011-14) while leading the team in assists and three point shooting.
Lemberger scored in double figures in 26 of 29 games her senior year, including making 49 three point shots and leading the team in free throw percentage and was team captain. Thea helped UCLA to a top ten national ranking for the 2012-13 season. She was part of the All-Pac-12 All-Academic Team in both 2013 and 14. She is one of only a few point guards in UCLA’s long history to score over 1000 points in her college career.
She led her Santa Monica High School team to the CIF Title, winning All-CIF and League MVP honors. She was a first team Jewish Sports Review HS All-American and nominated for McDonald’s HS All-American game. She was the starting point guard in 2009 when her club team won the Nike Summer Nationals. Thea has played internationally in Israel and is currently a professional player overseas.
